What is the Purpose Of Life

When I was near drowning and was striving to survive and get out of the lake i knew deep in my heart that I would make it and it was not my day to die.I dont know how to swim and here I am in a deep water after my feet slides in a deep pocket.I knew that life is all about struggling to survive and strive for hope to live,to do good,to learn from past mistakes ,to move ahead  and never lose faith. We must live our lives  as it is our last day in earth , work hard and serve our family members ,our society and never give up.

While I was sleeping In my home in Baghdad before I left the country I had a dream. I dreamt I was walking and suddenly a big storm surrounded me with rain and thunder. I was scared and started to run to find a safe place. Then suddenly two angels came and hold my hands and pulled me toward the cloud. Where are you taken me ,I asked them.

God  wants to talk to you , they said .I was so afraid . I didn’t do anything  I said. Then a big cloud started to move above me and I heard a voice that telling me in Arabic language (why you left your prayers, why do not pray to me anymore ?). I was so afraid but in the same time I felt in peace I promised God to pray again and always remember him .

Then the angels let my hands go and I started running until I reached a nice palace with a fence.I jumped the fence and hid under a tree. When the sky cleared out I turned my face to look at the tree beside me, it was a golden tree with golden apples.

I took one golden apple and left the place,Then I woke up. Since that time I started praying to God and worship him .Deciphering dreams is my hobby since I was a child. I read almost every book about dreams . I started analyzing  my dream and it was like this ;

It must be my unconscious mind that led to that dream as part of a guilty feeling . when we leave something important in our lives .

I believe that the worship ( Salat) is the only connection we have with our creator. The worship and faith in God is the rope of safety,  it is the ultimate Noah’s Ark to save us. The apple is the fruit of knowledge ,and the gold is the glitter of life .The gate is the obstacle and the door to security .The tree is life itself. The storm was the life stress and the fears .

The two angels are the guides, the parents ,our conscious and unconscious mind, our direction in life and out hopes. The cloud is the curtain between this life and the unseen life we can not see God in this life , nobody did and no one will in this life. The voice of God is the order and control the voice of my unconscious mind .The promise is my repent ,and my running away is my way to seek the truth and go seek it myself. The direction toward security and life to rethink my action. What is life?

This question of life is as old as the human race itself. Some argue that our purpose  is to find happiness. Others say our purpose is to love others, to become the best version of ourselves, or to follow God’s will.

Still others say there is no purpose to life at all.I believe that our lives do have a purpose, and that the clues are all around us in plain view. You can’t miss them. Our purpose is so deeply embedded in our culture that we easily overlook it or take it for granted.

Put simply, your purpose in life is to live the life of a hero. The hero’s journey is captured in all the great stories in literature, and in all the great movies we enjoy on the big screen. Hero stories endow our lives with meaning and reveal how a human life is meant to be lived.

Hero stories illuminate your true purpose in four ways:

1. You will go on a journey. At some point during your life, you will journey away from the comforts of your familiar world.

The hero’s journey can be real or metaphorical. Sometimes heroes choose the journey;sometimes the journey is chosen for them.

Brace yourself – your life always include some type of voyage, distraught with discomfort but crucial in revealing your life purpose.

2. You will grow from adversity. Overcoming obstacles and failures is a central part of your life journey.

Children’s fairy tales prepare us for adversity by featuring heroes who grow from their setbacks. The three little pigs find a way to outsmart the big bad wolf. Bambi overcomes his mother’s death to grow into a great leader.“Where you stumble, there lies your treasure,” observed mythologist Joseph Campbell. Heroes use adversity to better themselves.

When you are challenged by the darkest of life circumstances, know that your journey is fashioning you into a wiser, more resilient individual.

3. You will assemble a team of allies. You should never undertake your journey alone. Heroes find a way to attract sidekicks, friends, and mentors to help them overcome obstacles. Matt Langdon of the Hero Construction Company calls it “building a team around you.” Often the person who helps you is someone you least expect.

Remember that the point of the journey is to transform you into a stronger, better person. Trusted allies will guide you through adversity and will assist you in becoming forever transformed by your journey.

4. You will give back to society – The hero’s journey is far more than mere personal transformation. Once you return from your journey, you will use your new-found gifts to make the world a better place.

In The Odyssey, Odysseus endures his turbulent voyage home and then becomes a wise ruler of Ithaca.

Your life purpose is to use your own personal transformation to help transform society.

Once mentored by another, you will now mentor others. Your selfless service to the world will forge your place in the human chain of love shown by people who came before you and by people who will follow you.

The hero’s journey is not just illustrated in fiction but in the real lives of the world’s greatest heroes, such as Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Martin Luther King, Jr. These three legends lived thefour truths of heroism outlined above and used their gifts to forever change the world.

You may not be on the life trajectory of a Gandhi or a Mandela, but rest assured you are on a hero’s journey that has momentous implications for yourself and for the world.

Perhaps you are in the process of overcoming cancer, a difficult childhood, a financial setback, or some major transgression. As you struggle, remember that regardless of the outcome, you are fulfilling your life’s purpose.

Each human life is meant to be a heroic life

According to the the bible and Quran, our purpose, the reason we are here, is for God’s glory. In other words, our purpose is to praise and pray for God, worship Him, to proclaim His greatness, and to accomplish His will.  This is what glorifies Him.  Therefore, in this we find that God has given us a reason for our existence, a meaning for our existence.

We were created by Him, according to His desire, and our lives are to be lived for Him so that we might accomplish what He has for us to do.  When we trust the one who has made us, who works all things after the counsel of His will, then we are able to live a life of purpose.  How the particulars of that purpose are expressed is up to the individual.

Moralism is simply doing what is good .  An atheist can do that, but for those who claim to be Faithful, our purpose is not our own glory.  The meaning of our lives is to bring glory to God (Isa. 43;7).  Unbelievers do not know God.  Therefore, they can only be moralistic in their self-determination of meaning and purpose.

That is, they have no objective moral standard that exists outside of themselves and so they have no way of knowing what their ultimate purpose really is.  They will then, at best, adopt a kind of moralism, a goodness that is relative to the preferences and situation and live a kind of conditional love.

In that way, they cannot know what real goodness is.  And without knowing what truly is good, how can they truly have a good purpose in their lives?

Romans 3:23 – The problem we all have is that at times we have failed to do the Creator’s will. We are all guilty of sin (1 John 1:8,10). What can be done about that?

Acts 2:28; 22:16 – If you come to God believing in Him, confessing to Him, and repent to hi, , you will get the eternal life (Romans 6:3,4; Mark 16:16; 2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 Corinthians 15:58).

Suppose you are about to buy a house, but a friend promises you that he knows that house and it is in terrible shape in ways that are not obvious. Suppose he assures you that you are about to pay thousands of dollars more than the house was worth. Would you ignore the friend’s advice, or would you investigate?

In a similar way, we are advising you in love that living life apart from obedience to God may seem pleasurable and attractive, but in the end it will lead to catastrophe. Surely you need to investigate before it is too late!

Someday you will wish you had lived your life for God. If you are not living it for Him now, we urge you to find out what His will requires of you. If you already know, you have to obey while you have opportunity.

In Greek mythology  The Moirai or Fates were three sister deities, incarnations of destiny and life. Their names were;

Clotho, the one who spins the thread of life.

Lachesis, she who draws the lots and determines how long one lives, by measuring the thread of life.

and Atropos; the inevitable, she who chose how someone dies by cutting the thread of life with her shears. They were often described as being ugly and old women, stern and severe.

Three days after a child was born, it was thought that theMoirai would visit the house to determine the child’s fate and life.

It seems that the Moirai controlled the fates of both mortals and gods alike. It may be that Zeous was the only one not bound by them, as an epithet that was used for him was Moira getes (he who commands the fate). Other sources suggest, though, that he was also bound by the Moirai . It is also uncertain who their parents were; in some myths, they were daughters of Zeus and the Titan goddessThemis, the goddess of divine order. In others, they were daughters of Ananke, the personification of necessity.
