No matter how strong you are rich or poor, old or young we all have weaknesses. As if we don’t have these weaknesses we will be like angels. The question is how we can control and reduce our weaknesses, how we can build our strength? You have to have the courage to try again and again until you recognize your strength and weakness, try to create your path and lead, don’t leave an turned stone, and be yourself.
“Our strength grows out of our weaknesses.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
The Bible likens humankind to clay jars (2 Cor. 4:7). It’s a humble metaphor, actually, because jars of clay are fragile. If dropped, they instantly shatter into pieces. Upon close inspection, you’ll notice inconsistencies, flaws, chips, cracks and imperfections.

Dante’s “Inferno” is full of themes. But the most frequent is that of the weakness of human nature. Dante’s descent into hell is initially so that Dante can see how he can better live his life, free of weaknesses that may ultimately be his ticket to hell. Through the first ten cantos, Dante portrays how each level of his hell is a manifestation of human weakness and a loss of hope, which ultimately Dante uses to purge and learn from. Dante, himself, is about to fall into the weaknesses of humans,
before there is some divine intervention on the part of his love Beatrice, who is in heaven. He is sent on a journey to hell in order for Dante to see, smell, and hear hell. As we see this experience brings out Dante’s weakness’ of cowardice, wrath and unworthiness. He is lead by Virgil, who is a representation of intellect. Through Dante’s experiences he will purge his sins.
Just like the famous English phrase says ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ it will be wrong to delineate individual just because they have weakness on something. Nevertheless, it is true that the weakness we hold in our character may force us to do many wicked and shameful activities regardless of our true intention. The play “Hamlet” by William Shakespeare, superbly demonstrates the logic by the character of Gertrude that it does not matter even if a person has powerful authority, the fidelity that the person may have still can induce him/her to do many kinds of sinful acts.
Within this play, Gertrude’s silence is the weakness which characterizes her inability to express her own judgments. Weakness is part of the makeup of life . In chemistry, the reason we could study how materials behave is because they exist, holding together by some kind of forces. In fact all known forces (or interactions) in the universe can be grouped into four basic types. Below lists these forces in the order of decreasing strength.
1. The Strong Force ; This force is responsible for binding of nuclei.
2. The Electromagnetic Force; This is the force which exists between all particles which have an electric charge.
3. The Weak Force; This force is responsible for nuclear beta decay and other similar decay processes involving fundamental particles.
4. The Gravitational Force ; This is the force that holds us onto the Earth. It could be important in our daily life, but on the scale of atomic world it is of negligible or no importance at all. Gravitational force is cumulative and extended to infinity. It exists whenever there is matter. Your body is experiencing a gravitational pull with, say, your computer (or anything close to you or as far away as stars and galaxies) but the effect is so small you will never sense it. Same with human when you are closer to your love one the gravity is at work and the greatest force here is the force of love .
Most of us are in the midst of an ongoing journey of self-improvement. Some strive to be less fearful and more outspoken. Others struggle to be less boisterous and more likable. We work tirelessly to overcome the things we deem as personality flaws, weaknesses or chinks in our armors.
Personal growth is great. It’s OK to want to be a better you. It can quickly become debilitating, however, if you consistently see yourself with an identity that never measures up—especially to God.
In today’s society, telling a stranger or even someone close to you about your flaws is like wanting to get hit by a car.
