So many writers, books, articles and advisers try to guide you by giving you the number formulas , for example; 10 things to this or that, 5 things you should do or not, 7 things you should avoid to be happy , 4 ways to stop this or that , 12 things to reduce your stress, But what if I tell you that there is only one thing to do for everything you do.
(( I think we have to Master one thing rather than fail at many)).
There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about. Oscar Wilde
41But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; 42but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”Pslam 27;4
One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
There’s something that is far more important than reaching one of your goals: the process that leads you there. If you’re going to do something—no matter what it is—do it to the best of your ability.
Developing a good process and solid work ethic can come from everything you do, not just the one thing you’re trying to accomplish
It may seem like you’re just skimping on the unimportant stuff, or saving energy for your big tasks, but repetition makes a habit. Eventually, you get yourself used to the idea that doing most of something is okay, and one day that mentality can cross over into the things you do care about. You’ll wonder why success eludes you, but the answer is in your process. If you do one thing lazily, you’ll do everything lazily.
“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.” ― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
Lets us take this sample
15; Things You Should Give Up To Be Happy
1. Give up your need to always be right
2. Give up your need for control
3. Give up on blame
4. Give up your self-defeating self-talk
5.Give up your limiting beliefs
6. Give up complaining
7. Give up the luxury of criticism
8. Give up your need to impress others
9. Give up your resistance to change
10. Give up labels
11. Give up on your fears
12. Give up your excuses
13. Give up the past
14. Give up attachment
15.Give up living your life to other people’s expectations
So to summarize these 15 points ( If you think you are right, in control, blame, self talk, limits of believe, complaining, criticism, to impress, resistant to change labels, fear, excuse, past, attachments, expectations).
Now try to prioritize and reduce the numbers to the most important to you.
And keep doing this until you get one. And that one is the key for you.
PEACE OF MIND.TO ME these 15 pints can all be under one point and that is
to Rise Above (Anxiety, Anger, and Depression).
To you it might be just one thing. So focus and don’t bother yourself with the numbers game.
keep up the faith with the one and only one in this universe
