Quality versus Quantity; BS
I believe a managers should share almost as much information as possible with their teams. I believe the managers should always explain their motives and drivers of decisions they make and why they make bias and ignore the protocols , why they play the favorers game in work place.
In short I believe in much talking. Quality talking not just lies and gibberish.
Sometimes when a meeting is finished I don’t feel as if I convinced my interlocutor to a decision I make. That’s fair. That’s fair as long as I tried. This basically means a lot of talking to get the points to their boney heads, that their actions and small favors can destroy the place on the long run.
Managers talks about quality allot everybody does every day on TV, all kind of media and advertisements full with BS lies . The bottom line for them is quantity and basic quality , they cut ends, fire people, increase work load and do not give a shit about work related injury, and as soon as you complain you are out of the team if you don’t have a union that back you up.
Hundreds of pathologies have been missed and are being missed every day cross many clinics and hospitals, labs and imaging department, all because of the human error called quantity over quality , lack of knowledge, and doing the job in the wrong way , instead of going to school and read , taking courses and start slow to gain the know how .They offer and get a short hands on course and they think they are creating experts!
They push you to learn as fast as possible on basic hands on training and push you to the work place, to do the job that required years of education. IN THE END IT WILL TAKE ONE MISTAKE AND ONE PATIENT LAW SUIT to bring you down, and they will win if they prove that you are not qualified for the job and you don’t hold any certifications , or sound course training or registrations in that area. But who cares , quantity always win .
Spare me the details about quality work. If you don’t invest in your workers health and wellbeing your are counting your days for a fall down. Few can manage quality and quantity they force themselves to work fast and focus all their attention but in the end they end up tired and exhausted , some end up with nervous breakdown, stress and depression. It will eat you up from within you , you spend all your energy to prove something for others to make money .
Some can balance and that is the point balance and moderation before you burnout yourself .Unions, Colleges of physicians, administrators and local authorities including labor force and working compensations boards should make it tougher for those departments and companies that put quantity over quality and they should regulate the numbers of cases done and give scientific prove to the effect of RMI in work place and they should enforce it with heavy penalty .
‘I SAY SEEK NOT THE QUANTITY BUT SEEK QUALITY AND YOU WILL FIND THEM BOTH’
