Lacombe Alberta: An Ancient Jet
October 1984 5:30pm approx Lacombe Alberta
UFO details report: My father’s & myself UFO sighting goes back to about October, 1984.We were hauling hay for a farmer friend NE of Alix, Alberta when we heard the sound of a jet.My father was looking all around & @ me, then he pointed up & we both saw what I call an “ancient jet”.This thing was huge. It had lights all over it, a big front spotlight that appeared to be observing the ground.I remember the back jet like fins, what appeared to be circular hatch-type covers on top, & it looked really dirty. This object started to turn slowly towards the SE & we saw the back of it. Triangular in design with 3 big circular turbine engines. It started to rev up & then a loud blast like a shotgun & it was gone but we could hear it sailing across the sky to the south. It was reported in the Red Deer Advocate newspaper the next day as there were several witnesses in the Delburne, Trochu, & Three Hills area.My father & I still talk about it today, 31 years later.

Calgary UFO Sighting June 20th 2015
UFO details report: I live in Calgary, Ab. and was just waiting for the city transit when I noticed some birds flying around. The sky was clear and I could see the out line of the birds etc. when I notice that one of the birds is stationary and looks like it is more silvery. I watch it for about 10 seconds and a older woman steps up beside me so, I pointed it out to her, (object still hadn’t moved) but, all she saw was a bird before the bus pulled up. I enter the bus sitting by the window and watched the object for approx. 10 blocks before getting off. I walked across the street to look for the object but, was unable to see it anymore.size: guessing 20 feet across shape: couldn’t tell because of sun reflection but,had no wings height: was maybe 1000 feet up(birds were high up and this was twice as high but, lower then jet that flew over it. Objects around: seagulls, one jet Felt: excited, pissed that I did get picture or video length and time: sighting lasted maybe 10 mins was about 12pm 06/20/15 direction: was facing north it was over city.

MD Opportunity Alberta UFO Report
MD Opportunity Alberta December 29th, 2014 at 7:40AM
UFO details report: On the Morning of December 29th, 2014 at 7:40AM, as we were leaving Wabasca AB towards Athabasca AB, a cluster of lights was spotted ahead of us just above the tree line. The driver asked the passenger in the front seat if that tower was new, at which point they slowed down to observe the bright lights. Upon slowing down the Unidentified object began moving towards the direction we came from and a loud plane like noise could be heard. After realizing the object had been hovering above the tree line before continuing to move the two in the front became alarmed and informed the rest of the passengers in the truck. We slowed to a stop in an attempt to identify the object which could barely be made out in the dark of morning. While stopped to observe the object we watched through open windows. The object appeared to have 2 red lights and several white ones, all very bright. The outline of the object appeared to be very angular in shape. The object moved passed us at a slow pace above the tree line to our left. As it slowly disappeared behind us it seemed to descend behind the trees. We turned around after losing sight of the object. We followed until we were in sight of a large clearing that the object should not have been able to be passed at its speed. There were no lights visible and upon listening no sounds either.

UFOs Myrnam Alberta
UFOs Myrnam Alberta
UFO details report: Myrnam Alberta, late spring 2012,approx 8:45pm. I was coming out of a building we own in the centre of Myrnam across from our Post Office we I looked up at a beautiful clear night to see if I could see the stars when I noticed 3 red lights in the shape of a triangle kind of blinking/twinkling.I stood watching for approx 5 minutes and the lights stayed in one spot I knew it didn’t move because it was right above the house next door in line with their chimney.I went back inside our hall and got my husband and 10 yr old daughter to come take a look and when they came out and looked up at these lights I noticed they had switched position-instead of a right side up triangle it was now an inverted triangle. My family and I stood and watched these lights for at least another 10-15 minutes and it stayed in the same position the entire time. Then I looked over to my right which would be across the street and above the post office roof and say another st of lights but this one was in a straight line with one large light in the middle and 2 smaller lights one on either end. these lights were also blinking. There was no noise coming from either sets of these lights and we decided to go to our house after watching these things for approx a half an hour total because we were getting quite cold standing outside. We could see the lights in our mirror of the van til we rounded the corner of our street 2 1/2 blocks away.At first I wondered if it was some sort of aircraft or even the space station but it neither moved or made any sound so I dismissed those ideas. We weren’t really scared when we saw the lights but the longer we stood there watching them the more nervous I began to feel.

Keg River Fireball
The witness writes:
On Friday Sept 21 2013 I too was driving from Yellowknife to Vernon AB and just south of the Keg River/Mackenzie highway junction and witnessed a similar sight,
The moon was almost full but there was a hazy cloud cover which provided a dull blanket of light upon everything alongside me as I drove.
Suddenly the light within the interior of the vehicle became much brighter but because I was already aware there were no vehicles trailing me or in front of me, for a split second I thought I must have turned an interior light on, then I immediately noticed the environment outside of the car was lit up like daylight but I couldn’t determine the light source, until I looked due east (to my left) and to my utter astonishment witnessed what appeared to be a black object in flames no more than 1000 feet above the trees – travelling eastbound.
So close was the object that I could make out its black mass and distinctly see the orange and red flames which encapsulated it, as well as it’s distinct vapour trial which lingered it the air leaving a constant trail as well as 4-5 perfectly round puff balls of smoke along its wake.
Though I was traveling during the entire encounter my field of view was such that I witnessed its trajectory for approximately 2 full seconds before it was too far behind me to turn my head around. I kept looking left expecting to see/hear evidence of a ground impact, but nothing of the sort occurred.
After recounting the event constantly for the rest of my 20 hour journey, a couple of things were particularly peculiar to me.
1. The object’s trajectory was nearly horizontal. Judging from its path it didn’t seem to me that an impact was imminent, though I had no sight of it whatsoever from the right where it should have been coming from. It seemed like it came directly downward over the vehicle initially.
2. The object seemed to be moving quite slow for something burning up due to entry into earths atmosphere, I could clearly see the flames licking around it.
I had the stereo turned up quite loud, but headless to say it was a quiet ride alone for several hours after the even, as I gathered my thoughts and carefully scanned the skies for other potential targets…ha ha.
By far the most profound thing I’ve ever witnessed and actually wish I hadn’t, as it was far too up close and personal for me.

Banff UFO Report
The witness writes:
“Date: 3 Nov 2011, approx. 2200 hrs. Location: Banff, Alberta, Canada I’m a serving member of the Canadian Forces, who was recently posted to Canadian Forces Base Edmonton. My wife and I decided we would drive from my old post in Ontario, to my new one in Edmonton; giving us an opportunity to see the country. By Wednesday, 2 Nov 2011 we had arrived in Calgary, Alberta. We weren’t scheduled to arrive in Edmonton until 5 Nov 2011, so rather than taking the short drive to Red Deer, and then on to Edmonton we opted to go through Banff and Jasper and take in the sights. We reached the town of Banff at approximately 1130 hrs on 3 Nov 2011. After a day of sight seeing we retired to our hotel, the Best Western, located on Marten St. We checked in at approximately 1700 hrs. We watched TV most of the evening, going out onto the balcony a few times for cigarettes. At approximately 2200 hrs my wife decided to take a shower, and I went out onto the balcony for what was going to be my last cigarette of the night. As I was smoking, I paced up and down the balcony, looking up towards the mountains. Much of my view was obstructed by the neighbouring building, pine trees, and low laying clouds. There was, however, a gap between the trees approximately 3 meters in diameter which offered a fairly clear view of where the mountain was. It was then that I saw an an object, completely round, with an orange-yellow glow descend from the clouds. The object couldn’t have been any larger than maybe 5- 10 meters in diameter, had no detail to it, and moved faster than any aircraft I’ve ever witnessed. As the object reached the mid way point in the gap between the trees, it ascended back into the clouds. This all happened in a split second, and at first I was a little intrigued. But as I slowly realized it resembled nothing that I had ever seen before I became somewhat frightened. I immediately put my cigarette out and ran inside to inform my wife of what I saw.”

Sherwood Park Close Encounter
The following report was sent into us in April 2010, but the initial events that are described happened in the mid-1970s.
“There are 2 incidents that I recall. The first, I was walking across a golf course with my little sister. We were going to buy our parents some cigarettes, and cutting across the golf course was a short cut to and from the store. On our way back, again we cut across the end of 2 holes of the golf course. While in the middle of the crossing, a very deafening mechanical sound surrounded us. We hit the ground and I covered my little sister with my body, to protect her. The last thing I remember is telling her I would protect her. The next thing we knew, it was over. We found ourselves walking home and still on the golf course. When we got home, we must have looked like we saw a ghost to our mother as she asked us what happened? Why did we take so long? she was having a nicotine fit and we took over 2 hours to do a 20 minute round trip (by foot it was 20 minutes max) Sherwood Park Alberta, Late summer of 1975 or 76. Aproximately 7:00pm (an hour after supper) we arived home well after 9:00pm.
Since that date, I have suspected I have been followed or tracked. I have always felt “they”, whomever they were were constantly coming back and taking me away, but always while I am sleeping. That is when the second thing happened to me. I was having an afternoon snooze on my couch. I drifted off into a very deep sleep. Then, all of a sudden, I felt like I was restrained, arms beside my body. Like I was not yet supposed to wake up for a few more minutes, or maybe even seconds. I was in a dark, but not black … area. I saw no one, I was just frightened about being restrained and paralized. One may say, if I were paralized, how would I come to know I was restrained? I cant answer that, I just knew I was restrained. The next thing I knew, I was back in my home but not on the couch, I was some feet above it, eyes wide open and still paralized I was somehow lowered onto the couch. A split second after I hit the couch I was able to move. Whatever it was that lowered me exited out the top corner of the room and seemingly pulled the corner of the house outward as it were made of rubber or was plastic. As the corner snapped back, it had gone back and forth 2 or 3 times like a rubber band would when tension was released from it.
I could not believe what I saw. as I mentioned, my eyes were wide open as I was lowered to the couch and watched the “spatula exit the home”, it was only then that I took a deep breath and moved my arms. I could not speak. I wanted to call out while being lowered but could not. This happened in Ontario in 2006. Again in the summer and mid-afternoon. I have read when people awaken before some motor skills part of the brain kick in, one may find one’s self paralized. Ok, I’ll buy that but what the heck was the levitation and lowering of my body and then the rubber ceiling thing all about? My eyes were open from when I found my body 4 feet over the couch. I have suspected I have been taken away and returned many many times, but have almost no recollection of the events.”

Alberta
A screen capture from an amateur video sent to Global Television Edmonton is purported to be that of a meteor streaking across the southeastern sky in Edmonton Thursday just after dusk.
It wasn’t a bird, and it sure as heck wasn’t a plane, but whatever was in the sky over western Canada on Thursday night was very exciting for the people who saw it.
In Edmonton and across the Prairies, hundreds of people reported seeing a bright flaming object light up the sky around 5:30 p.m. local time. It was variously described as green, yellow, purple or blue, and appeared as either an explosion or an object streaking through the sky.
Sightings came from across the Prairies; from as far south as Medicine Hat, Alta., to as far north as Beauval, Sask. – 600 kilometres from Edmonton.
Marcel Gobeil, who lives on a farm south of Edmonton, was in his living room when he heard what he describes as a “loud boom,” followed by bright colourful light in the sky.
“At first I thought it was fireworks,” said Gobeil. “I’ve never seen anything like it; it was green and blue and then turned to bright red. It was pretty big.”
Gobeil said he thought the object hit the ground about 10 seconds later.
“It seemed like it fell on Beaumont, but it’s more likely it landed in Manitoba or Saskatchewan if it was a meteorite,” he said.
Hundreds of kilometres to the east, farmer Bruce Trapp also saw the light show.
“It lit up the yard almost like midday, but just for an instant,” said Trapp, who farms about 70 kilometres southwest of Saskatoon. “It was far brighter than any lightning strike I’ve ever seen.”
Shawn Mitchler was pumping gas at Radisson, Sask., about 60 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon, when the sky flashed green and yellow.
“It seemed like fireworks or a missile coming down,” said Mitchler, who estimates the light show lasted five to 10 seconds.
“My heart just started racing because I didn’t know what it was.”
Edmonton International Airport spokesman Jim Rudolph said “the skies east of the airport lit up” at 5:27 p.m.
“According to NavCanada, it appears that this was the result of a meteorite, but that has not been confirmed,” said Rudolph, adding that operations at the airport were not affected.
“What we probably saw was a fireball, which is the result of a rock coming into the atmosphere,” said Chris Herd, an associate professor in the University of Alberta’s department of earth and atmospheric sciences and curator of the university’s meteorite collection.
“The big question now is whether or not anything hit the ground.”
Richard Huziak, a member of the Royal Astronomical Society who lives in Saskatoon, believes it was likely a meteor that did land somewhere near the Alberta-Saskatchewan border.
It may be possible to determine a more precise location, since fireball video cameras designed to begin recording when a bright light appears in the sky are located in Saskatoon, Regina, Moose Jaw, Edmonton and Calgary.
“It’s very likely this one has been caught. It will show the track through the sky and might show the orbit back into space,” Huziak said.
But while many of the witnesses claimed to see something land, Herd said this was most likely an optical illusion. Since the fireball was a bright light several kilometres up in a dark sky, it would have appeared close to anyone who could see it. If something did fall to the Earth, it’s extremely unlikely anyone would have witnessed it, Herd said. As the object fell through the Earth’s atmosphere, it would slow down and the resulting decrease in friction would cause it to stop burning.
“What we know about fireballs is that they’re bright burning up for a certain amount of time in the atmosphere, but then they stop burning brightly. If there’s a rock that continues after that, it’s falling in dark flight,” he said.
“This could literally be a couple of kilometres up in the air and it could fall the whole rest of the way without giving off any light. It could drop like a rock to the ground.”
Herd said while fireballs are quite frequent, they don’t generally happen over populated areas.
“Something as bright as this is pretty rare,” he said.
If something did ultimately hit the ground, Herd said, it would be a very exciting find.
“It’s not often that something actually lands and is found, because of all the factors that are working against you,” he said, adding he hopes anyone who finds a new rock in their yard tomorrow will get in touch with him.
Meteorites often fall to Earth, but very few cause damage because the rocks often disintegrate as they travel through the atmosphere.
For those who witnessed the fireball, Herd suggested they report it to the Meteorites and Impacts Advisory Committee to the Canadian Space Agency, which can be found at Miac.uqac.ca.

A Calgary volunteer with the Canadian Fireball Reporting Centre captured about six seconds of video of a fireball that was witnessed by several people in the Lethbridge area at 5:45 a.m. Monday January 5th 2009.
Alan Hildebrand, co-ordinator of the Canadian Fireball Reporting Centre, and Canada Research Chair in Planetary Science at the University of Calgary, said reports continued to come in from Calgary residents Tuesday, one of whom captured the video. Hildebrand was part of the team that found chunks of a meteorite which landed near Lloydminster Nov. 20.
“The image starts in the east-southeast and goes towards the south,” Hildebrand said.
“I would guess it was 200 to 300 kilometres from here judging from its elevation in the sky. It was a shallow trajectory. He recorded six seconds of it before it went behind a cloud, so it was at least that long, and being shallow it could easily have been 10 or 20 seconds. Some of the witnesses in town here said they saw the whole thing, and they said it was not much longer than 10 seconds.
“Some of them reported seeing it break into fragments at the end, which I can also believe, and that’s also typical of expecting that it was a meteorite dropper.”
The precise time the video begins was 5:45.22-28. The images are black and white so Hildebrand couldn’t tell if it appeared to be blue, or blue-green as two witnesses described it to The Herald.
“It’s hard to say how bright it was, it was certainly a significant fireball. I can imagine the rock involved is approximately 10 kilograms, a rock maybe the size of your head. I don’t know enough to say much more, but many of the witnesses waxed quite rhapsodic about it, and that means it had to be significantly bright. For the witnesses who saw it down in your area, since they were closer to it, I can imagine it was a pretty bright fireball.”
From the information he has, Hildebrand is unable to hazard a guess as to where the fireball might have landed.
“I can say it was east-southeast of Calgary, but that’s about it at this point. There’s a good chance some pieces fell, but with all the cloud down there . . . to really narrow this down using eye witnesses you need a clear sky so the people right at the end can tell you what they saw. The one Nov. 20, that’s how I tracked down the end point. With clouds, you can’t do that.
“Naturally, if some farmer finds a hole in his shed and a rock on the floor, you’ve got a meteorite, but it’s a big country, and this wasn’t a big enough event to produce thousands of meteorites. If there hadn’t been clouds, you could go to Lethbridge and get security camera videos. One thing that’s now possible, you’ve got an exact time, so anyone who was running a security camera in Lethbridge can check at that exact time and see if they have anything. Security cameras are usually pointing down at parking lots, but once in awhile, we can see fireballs reflected in the windshields of cars.”
Terry Hood, operations manager for Volker Stevin, said four of his snowplow operators saw the fireball.
“The one thing one of them said that was quite interesting was that he saw lights in two different locations. He said there was a fairly bright light in one location and brighter in one area than another in a somewhat different location. I don’t know if that means there was more than one object or if it was some kind of optical illusion from the clouds.”
Two of the operators were working out of Volker Stevin’s Taber shop, and two from the Warner shop.
Ted Haynes told The Herald Monday he saw a spectacular streak of light while driving toward Vauxhall between 5:30 and 6 a.m. The fireball snuck up behind Greg and Susan Peterson, a Raymond couple who were driving from Wrentham toward the highway at Stirling. The couple were startled because at first they thought it was a truck or snowplow that came up suddenly behind them, but after about five seconds of extremely bright blue-green light, it simply vanished.
Hildebrand ruled out the fireball being part of the Quadrantid meteor shower, which hits Western Canada for the first few days of January each year, because of the speed and trajectory.
Fireball sightings can be reported to the Canadian Fireball Reporting Centre, an arm of the Canadian Space Agency, by going to www.miac.uqac.ca/MIAC/fireball.php.
