Virgin Mary daughter of Imran passed through a difficult situation, but was told by God, “To go eat and drink and rest assure that God will take care of you”.Remember that God Almighty said to his servants, “Do not be afraid.” And Jacob said to his children, “Do not despair.” Joseph said to his brother, “Do not be depressed.” Shuaib the father of Asfora ( Moses wife) said to Moses, “Do not be afraid.” The Torah, the new testaments, and the Quran are full of those example and kind words.

When I moved to Canada back in the good old days, I have got a job the second day of me been in this Country. It was working at a Greek restaurant, I changed to my uniform and my boss handed me a broom and asked me to clean the garage around the restaurant. I was so sad at that moment and felt humiliated, looked at the sky trying to ask God what is next. I didn’t know that my boss was watching me from the window, after few moments I felt a hand on my shoulder and it was my boss standing beside me and told me ‘”Son don’t feel sad and embarrassed of doing this task as all of us start somewhere, sooner or later you will be working in the kitchen, there are no small tasks, all of us work to make this business successful so we can put food on the table and pay our bills, welcome to Canada son”. Then he started to clean the parking lot with a second broom he had. Now that is a real leader, Said to my self.

When I finished cleaning the garage he then told me to come and sit in the office so I can sign more papers and while I was doing the paperwork he told that his first job was to clean that garage and after 20 years he bought the place. Later I found that he did work hard, study the language and become a cook, later become chef, and kept on going with hard work to be the manager and part owner. He got married to the boss doughtier and later was the owner of the place. We need to be humble and get some humility in our life. I was standing sad and holding the broom at that moment because my self-bride was in the way, I was thinking of the past how I used to be a good scientist and working in one of Baghdad hospital as a pharmacist and now holding the broom cleaning away dirt.

We ran away from our past for political reasons, injustice, war, and discrimination from evil countries like Iraq, Syria, and Iran to come here and start from zero. We have to let go the past if we want to succeed, we have to focus on the task at hand and that’s now and work harder and smarter for a brighter future ,we can learn from our past and use it as a stepping stone to correct our action and behavior to fit in and adapt without losing our self-respect. Years later after I finished my X-Ray and ultrasound colleges I was working in Windsor Ontario the same city where I started my life in Canada my Boss came to the hospital as a patient and he was in my ultrasound room so I super attentive to him beyond words. after working hours I went to his word and stayed beside him until he went to sleep, Stavros he used to call me you better go home and sleep you have a job to do tomorrow, thank you for being a good kid, Stavros. Life can change and we all have tasks to do as we are all part of this big puzzle board called life.

So my advice to those who worry so much is to live your life and do not exhaust yourself by thinking of what will happen if your plan doesn’t work if no one will listen to your advice, if no one will help you, and no one will offer you a job. Rest assure that God has a plan for you, as long as you do your best to knock on doors, keep yourself to standard, be in the mainstream and avoid judgmental attitudes, think smart, open your heart and mind to new ideas and be kind, adapt to the new change and be flexible but in the same time is to keep your principles and faith in God . All these difficulties are part of God test of your character and you will pass if you keep your faith and hard work.

Spreading peace of mind in difficult times, time of stress and anxiety where people are losing their jobs, houses, stricken with disease and illness, losing their ability to walk, talk or see the world around them. For those people, the kind word, the helping hands of giving a job and opening the door of opportunity means allot in God’s eye.

It is like giving a new chance to make a difference in your life and the live’s of others. God always wants us to succeed and see us prosper to help others and spread the message of peace and kindness. Think twice before you turn your back on someone who asking for a job, if you don’t have an opening or if he/she doesn’t fit the skill sets that you want don’t just let them go, tell them what to do next, advise them on the best solution and point them in the right direction.

Those who seek an honest job are running out of option in these busy competitive markets where dogs eat dogs and remember that those people just like you have bills to pay, children to raise and they are part of our community. Some go to bed without dinners, some have so many credits to pay and in verge of bankruptcy, some cannot sleep due to stress, and if this circle of selfishness and unkindness continue we will be pushing many of those great people to severe stress and depression, drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness and some may be committing a suicide.

Spread tranquility, kindness, and confidence among the people that you meet and interviews when they leave your office, let them leave your office with dignity, self- respect, and hope that one day, somehow, somewhere and someone might give them a chance to be part of a productive society.

Thank you for reading.
