High-achievers are punctual, and punctual people can achieve more. most successful people share the following habits
They turn up on times, They reply to emails swiftly, They remember most of the peoples’ names, no matter what their status. They are Alert, focused, handle stress more than those who are not punctual at work. They are reliable.
Reliability can affect your job. I know many of those who apply for a job and they didn’t get it because they are not reliable workers, they have a repetition and people at workplaces know that.
We tend to think of leadership and excellence as residing in standout qualities: Mathematical genius, aesthetic dazzle. But these smaller traits contain profound messages. At the least, they signal self-discipline and good organization. More deeply, they imply a concern or at least respect for other people. Being punctual means you don’t waste other peoples’ time — or think it is more important than your own.
Replying swiftly allows others to get on with their work; you aren’t their roadblock. Remembering names requires effort and that they do so imply they believe you matter. Being reliable frees their peers and colleagues from worrying about whether they’ll deliver on promises.
All of these habits build trust — and trust hugely reduces the friction and costs of doing business. So these habits are profoundly efficient for both the long and the short term.
Consider the opposite behaviors. Being late, ignoring or delaying emails, forgetting other people and being capricious in honoring promises sends a loud message: I matter more than anyone else. To get away with this attitude requires power — so the Caprice is also a demonstration of status. It also leaves other people feeling or being helpless.
No reply to an email means other people can’t progress with their work. If you aren’t reliable, it means nobody can be quite sure of what is happening around them. You render others powerless while exhibiting your own status. Such wayward behavior in small things can look powerful while being insidiously costly and destructive.
Being fashionably late is so out of fashion – arriving late to interviews, meetings, your work, and appointments are not only rude but can also negatively impact your career and relationships. Many workers do arrive late and blame the traffic their car, they expect babysitter, and all other excuses.S someone else, of course, will pick up their work as clients and patients arrive they expect to see the employee taken them on time, but someone else will do extra job or work harder to cover up for those lazy workers who don’t even care or apologize.
If you are constantly rushing out the door but still can’t seem to make a rendezvous on time, maybe it’s time for a lifestyle change. Maybe you should change your job and don’t let other workers handle your problem. Maybe you should not work at 8 am start 10 to 6, 9 to 5.I t is your problem so if you come late stay late. Don’t expect others to do your job and you cash in the money as they work harder and do more than you. Punctual people are those who are ;
1. They’re realistic.
people who chronically late underestimate how long it will take them to take a shower, get dressed, and reach a destination. Punctual people are realistic about their time and will often add a few extra minutes to give themselves some wiggle room. If you want to start planning realistically, write down how long you think it takes you to do your morning routine. Then for a week, track how long it actually takes you to get ready and use that new estimate when planning out your mornings.
2. They prepare for unexpected delays.
This habit is related to the one mentioned above about giving yourself buffer time. Punctual people prepare for any unforeseen delays due to traffic, getting lost, forgetting something at home, etc. If they’re going somewhere that is 10 minutes away, they leave 20 to 25 minutes ahead to account for any unexpected scenarios. By giving themselves buffer time, they often arrive early – but never late.
3. They’re fine with downtime.
Because punctual people give themselves buffer time, they often arrive early – and they are more than comfortable enjoying a few minutes waiting. Reading a book, check your emails, search the web etc. Whether they are checking emails, reviewing notes, or clearing their heads, punctual people not only enjoy their downtime but also come prepared with something to do. People who are chronically late, however, do not enjoy their downtime and prefer the thrill of rushing to and from a place. If you want to be more comfortable waiting for someone, then bring a book or an iPad to help pass the time.If I am the manager I will fire those who come late for the third time.
4. They plan everything no matter how small it is.
Extremely punctual people not only show up to places on time but also lead highly structured and organized lifestyles. They plan out their mornings, days, and nights with a set of activities and routines and stick to them every day.
They keep calendars up to date with new meetings and appointments and try not to over schedule. Being organized with your belongings can also save you time when you’re getting ready – keep your keys, wallet, and phone in a designated area so that you don’t have to search for them in the mornings. To become more punctual, try adding more structure to your daily routine!
5. They get things done ahead of time.
Punctual people get everything done ahead of time because procrastinating means stressing out and scrambling at the last minute. They pick out what to wear and pack their bags the night before.
If they’re packing lunch for work, they do that the night before as well. By getting things done early, they have less to worry about in the morning and can focus on being punctual.
6. They go to bed early.
Why do most people stay up late? Probably because they waited until the last minute to finish an assignment or project. Watching a TV show or a movie, partying or drinking with friends. naturally, punctual people don’t stay up as late, because they avoid procrastinating. By getting to bed early,
They sleep better and wake up feeling rested. In the past years fired few people that always arrived late, sleep on the job, arrived under influence etc.
7. They’re morning people.
On a similar note, punctual people don’t press the snooze button – they get up when they’re supposed to. Because they sleep better after getting to bed earlier, they don’t have trouble waking up. They go to bed and get up at reliable hours to start their days off right.
So do not be a burden on Other workers , change your working hours and find a solution that will help you and your work place , talk to your manager so he might help be to find a solution .
Make sure to check with your doctor too to make sure that you dont have a hypothyroid problem, diabetes, etc.
